Project - This site is a student project. We had about a week to plan and execute all aspects including topic selection, research, domain search, hosting, ftp, information architecture report (fancy term for scratching out a plan of the actual site and how the pages related to each other,) file management, interface design, color theory, html coding, css coding, validating.
Well, I followed the basic format. Interestingly, you end up spending a lot of time on the most random things, things that you thought were easy. It has a lot to do with how you think things through though. These coding languages are very logical, and the file structure and rules of cascade are very straightforward. You just have to keep certain things in mind. It can sometimes be a challenge as you are using a completely different part of your brain than when you are playing in photoshop.
If it is helpful I will put little diagrams and/ or pictures of some of the steps that I took in creating this site. There were several hours spent in photoshop, as well as Illustrator going on behind the scenes. Most of the time however, was spent looking at code, and then switching back and forth to the browser to see how it looked!
I will upload more aspects of how this site was created soon, but for now I have to make sure the main aspects of the site are ready for the deadline. Thanks for your patience.
